Beauty schools provide quality work at low prices
Most salons can charge you mega money for beauty needs, but have you ever tried a beauty college? We found one getting great reviews from clients.
Making your face, hands and feet look great can sometimes cost an arm and a leg. But that's not the case at the Regency Beauty Institute in Greenwood Indiana.
"I like the people. They are nice and friendly, and I like the cost," said Liz, a client at the institute.
The cost is a fraction of most salons. That's because students are doing the work.
Haircuts go for $9, color starts at $25, manicures are $12, and pedicures are just $15.
"People are really happy, especially if it's their first time here. They're surprised how good of quality they're getting out of a school, and it's a very good compliment when they rebook with you," said student Terry Hike.
Regency is off US 31 South, near East County Line Road in Greenwood. Tonya Cross is the Campus Manager.
"A lot of people just don't know we are here. We set far back off the main streets, so it's just basically word of mouth."
"We use top of the line products, and it looks just like a salon. When clients get the individualized treatments from students they are supervised by educators, they definitely love it, and they definitely appreciate the prices," continued Cross.
"I have only experienced happy clients leaving the salon. I think people do good work and we have good educators to help us," said student Anna Stoddard.
"I just think if anyone is interested in a career, it's a good career and everyone who graduates, they usually have jobs before they graduate," added Hike.
