be at least 17 years of age
possess a high school diploma or a high school graduation equivalency certificate (GED)
complete the cosmetology admission test furnished by the school
Graduates from Black Hills Beauty College are eligible to take the state board test and upon passing become licensed cosmetologists in South Dakota.
"Black Hills Beauty College has excellent licensing and placement rates," said Poloncic. Currently BHBC’s licensing rate is 100 percent and job placement rate is 93 percent.
