Cosmetology students show skills

RINCON — Cosmetology students showed off their skills Monday with a fashion and hair show at the Savannah Technical College Effingham Campus.

Students demonstrated avant-garde styles, trend color and weaving techniques.

Models strolled the runway in the courtyard of the campus. The students also used mannequins to show off their styles.

"This gives our students a chance to show off their creativity," Kimberly Cutter-Williams, cosmetology department chairwoman said.

There are 40 students enrolled in the cosmetology program at the Effingham Campus, 57 at the Savannah Campus and about 40 at the Liberty County campus in Hinesville, school officials said.
