Konvict Cosmetics by Akon

Music mogul Akon announced yesterday a newly formed company, Konvict Cosmetics, which will debut not one but two different scents:

"Produced in partnership with Akon’s recently formed company, Konvict Cosmetics, the two scents Konvicted (aimed towards the younger demographic) and Aliaune (christened after his real first name and aimed towards more mature consumers) will be available through the company’s website.  A 3.4 oz. of Konvicted will sell for $35 while the Aliaune scent will go for $55."

Hmmm... now I'm sure that Akon and his people have thought this through, but a fragrance called "Konvict"?  What kind of message is that supposed to send.
