In order to obtain a license in Barbering or Cosmetology in the state of Connecticut, individuals must complete the requirements listed below. Other requirements may apply.
Barber: 1500 hours
Cosmetologist: 1500 hours
Prerequisite for obtaining licensure:
8th grade education (or equivalent), 1500 hours of approved hairdressing school, Passing of Experior Multi-state Licensing Examination.

Biennial Renewal Fee: $50
