Louisiana Cosmetology Licensing Requirements

In order to obtain a license in Cosmetology, Esthetics or Manicuring in the state of Louisiana, individuals must complete the requirements listed below. Other requirements may apply.

Cosmetologist: 1500 hours
Esthetician: 750 hours
Manicurist: 500 hours

Licensing Fee Schedule: (Fees subject to change)

Reciprocity:

Louisiana does recognize cosmetologist, esthetician and manicurist licenses of (all) other states. Individuals will need to complete a reciprocity application and submit the application along with the required information and fees.
