Oklahoma Cosmetology Licensing Requirements

In order to obtain a license in Barbering, Cosmetology, Esthetics or Manicuring in the state of Oklahoma, individuals must complete the requirements listed below. Other requirements may apply.

Cosmetology: 1500 hours
Cosmetician: 600 hours
Esthetician: 600 hours
Manicurist: 600 hours
Hair Braiding Technician: 600 hours
Barber: 1500 hours

Licensing fee schedule is for all fields.

Exam Fee: $15
Application/Initial Fee: $25
Annual Renewal Fee: $25

Endorsement into Oklahoma: Oklahoma accepts any license-for-comparable-license basis from any state in which applicant has met the license requirements. Applicant must have proof of continuous practice in the field for which license is applied, for at least three years prior to making application.
