Founded in 1973, Southeastern Beauty Schools has been providing students with an excellent career education in a supportive, hands-on learning environment that emphasizes individual attention and acknowledges short term progress. When you graduate from Southeastern Beauty Schools, and pass the Georgia State Boards, you’ll be prepared for an exciting career as a Cosmetologist or Barber. If you are already a Licensed Cosmetologist or Barber, and have always wanted to teach, Southeastern Beauty Schools offers both Cosmetology Instructor and Barbering Instructor Programs.

Admissions Requirements for the Basic Barbering and Basic Cosmetology Programs:
- Be at least 17 years old
- Have a high school diploma, a GED, or pass an Ability-to-Benefit test administered by the school
- Have a social security card
- Have a driver’s license or birth certificate
Admissions Requirements for the Cosmetology Instructor Program:
- Be at least 18 years old
- Have a high school diploma or GED
- Have 1500 hours from a recognized Cosmetology school
- Have a Master Cosmetology License
Admissions Requirements for the Barbering Instructor Program:
- Be at least 18 years old
- Have a high school diploma or GED
- Have 1500 hours from a recognized Barbering school
- Have a Master Barber License
Financial Aid (for those who qualify)
Southeastern Beauty Schools participates in Financial Aid programs that can help qualified students who need financial assistance to attend school. The Financial Aid programs that the school has available are the Pell Grant and the William D. Ford Direct Student Loan.
Accreditation and Licensing
Southeastern Beauty Schools are accredited by the National Accrediting Commission of Cosmetology Arts & Sciences (NACCAS) and licensed by the Georgia State Board of Cosmetology and Barbers, as well as licensed locally by the city of Columbus and Muscogee County. Additionally, the school is approved for veterans training by the Department of Veterans Services.
